Project P.I.T.T. Controls — Keyboard, Mouse & Keybinds

Complete Project P.I.T.T. controls guide for keyboard and mouse, including jump, sprint, interact, throwing, rotation, snap mode and rebinding controls.

Controls changed in 1.0.5: all actions can now be rebound, including individual scroll inputs. Older reports that keybinds cannot be remapped describe the launch-week build, not the current patch.

Official defaults below come from the developer FAQ and follow-up notes. Your binds may differ after 1.0.5.

From 1.0.5, physical world buttons can accept F, E, or left click.

Rotation and placement

Hold Middle Mouse while moving the mouse to rotate the object you are holding.

Use R to enable Snap Mode when you need cleaner, repeatable placement.

Use G to reset an object's rotation. Since Update 1.0.5, quickly pressing Reset Rotation twice can place an object flat, which is especially useful when working with panels.

Physics quirks that act like controls

Jumping while holding something can launch you upward. Community reports treat this as an intended way to reach catwalks. Climbing too high with cameras still active can start a short countdown and an I SEE YOU reset. If you clip into geometry, use Unstuck instead of wiping the save.

Do not stand in the Automater output. Your body blocks the lane.

Rebinding after 1.0.5

Update 1.0.5 expanded full control rebinding, including separate scroll-up and scroll-down binds. If an older article on this wiki still says keybinds cannot be changed, treat that as launch-window reporting and use the in-game settings instead.
