Project P.I.T.T. Quest Guide: Factory Progression, Combos, and All Endings
Master every Project P.I.T.T. quest: factory loop, combos, crate hunt, upstairs puzzles, achievements, and both endings in one save.
The intern job behind every Project P.I.T.T. quest
Project P.I.T.T. (also listed as Project PITT) is a first-person incremental physics sandbox from Froke, published by Pretty Soon and released on Steam on 19 August 2026. You are an intern in a brutalist plant built around a growing pit called The Maw. The core Project P.I.T.T. quest is not a checklist of named story missions. It is a production contract: make goods, dump them into the hole, keep a combo alive, cash out, and spend the money on machines that make the next dump even faster.
That loop is the whole campaign. Rubber ducks start the economy. Later goods, candy from a piñata, assembled late-game parts, and a few facility puzzles sit on top of the same job. There are 23 Steam achievements, and available walkthroughs agree they all fit on a single save. The long tail is feeding 15,000 products, holding a x300 combo, reaching $1,000,000,000,000, and buying every terminal unlock.
This is a PC sandbox on Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It is not a Roblox experience, not an official Android or APK title, and not Fallout’s The Pitt. A Steam Demo and an itch.io Demo are the legitimate free ways to test the physics before buying the full game on the official Steam store page.
How the factory loop actually pays
A single duck is almost worthless compared with a clean chain. Value comes from how many items hit The Maw in a short window. Combos climb while products keep arriving. Leave a long gap and the chain dies. Later items and piñata candy are worth more than starter ducks, but speed still beats rarity. Gambling Crates can spit out bonus cash or special ducks; they are a side jackpot, not a stable wage.
Community reports and published walkthroughs describe the same money rule: pile, then dump. Feeding one object at a time is the slowest possible shift.
| What you feed | Why it matters | When it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Starter rubber ducks | Unlocks the shop and teaches the dump | First minutes |
| Later shop products | Higher payout per hit | Mid game |
| Piñata candy | Strong feed after FIESTA! | Mid to late |
| Assembled late-game goods | Required by some upstairs machines | Endgame secrets |
| Gambling Crates | Bonus cash and odd ducks | Hunt them first, then cash extras |
The facility itself is the other half of the quest. As The Maw grows, phases rewrite the room. Scripted debris can land on a perfect line. Treat every layout as temporary and rebuild with the new tools instead of fighting a wrecked chute.
Controls, physics tricks, and the tools that carry a run
Movement is standard first-person: WASD, mouse look, Space to jump, C to crouch, Shift to sprint. F interacts with terminals, machines, and fuses. Left click grabs or drops. After the throw upgrade, right click launches held objects. Middle mouse rotates a held piece freely, R snaps rotation, G resets it, and the scroll wheel changes hold distance. If you clip into geometry, use Unstuck in the pause menu rather than wiping the save.
Jumping while holding an object can launch you like a crude flight kit. That is intended, and it is how most players reach catwalks, fuse boxes, and the upstairs scale. Climb too high under active cameras and a short countdown can end in I SEE YOU, then a position reset. Break cameras with thrown products, or use the lights at the ends of support pillars to shut off the height lock.
Sticky tools are the real factory unlock. Once panels stay where you place them, you can build funnels that do not collapse after one bump.
| Tool | Main job on the floor |
|---|---|
| Workbench / Automater | Spits ducks; aim the output into a lane, not your shoes |
| Broom | Early cleanup and tiny combo dumps |
| Fans | Reliable automated feeding |
| Magnets | Lift a mountain of goods for one huge combo |
| Panels, pistons, launchers, bumpers | Ramps, gates, and chutes |
| Golf club | Strong early knock-in while automation is weak |
| Remote | About 1 kg; useful ballast for the scale |
| Cash register | Needed for KACHING! and a few later interactions |
| Piñata and bat | Smash for candy that counts as product |
Do not stand in the Automater stream. Your body clogs the shaft and kills the combo around 70 or 80, which is a common community complaint.
Early Project P.I.T.T. quest steps
The opening shift is short if you buy in the right order.
- Make one duck and put it in The Maw for QWACK!.
- Work the press until the first shop entries appear.
- Buy the throw upgrade, then grab a broom or the first fan.
- Purchase the Cash Register the moment it appears for KACHING!.
- Switch the Automater on as soon as it exists.
- Stack a pile and dump it fast for MORE! at x100.
- Unlock sticky tools when panels show up.
- Build a baby line: Automater, stuck-panel funnel, fan, Maw.
One Automater, a short sticky chute, and a fan pointed at the pit will carry the early economy. The same lane, once production rises, is enough for EXTRA! at x200. Keep the golf club as a backup until fans outpace a swing.
Pause feeding later and let 500, then 1,000 products sit loose for MESS! and LAG!. Clean the room afterward. Community reports say performance tanks if you leave a thousand objects on the floor while chasing FAST!.
Factory setups that survive the mid game
A standard lane is the safest design. Park production above a sticky-panel chute and line fans so goods never leave the path. Short routes clog less and are the easiest way to hold 400 products per minute for FAST! and to grind the 15,000 lifetime feeds for STUFFED!.
A magnet dump is the combo specialist. Let a hill form, stack magnets, grab everything, and drop it as one event. That method is how many players hit x200 and x300 for MEGA!.
A piñata line is a mid-game raise. After FIESTA!, smash the piñata and merge candy into the same chute. Candy usually beats early ducks on payout.
A cash-register spur is optional. A short fenced path into the register helps specific objectives. Side panels stop bounce-outs.
When a phase change flattens the line, rebuild. Stronger fans can even shove some of the new debris into The Maw instead of treating it as a wall.
Exploration quests: cameras, crates, and the upstairs chain
One objective should happen earlier than it feels natural: the Gambling Crate hunt. GAMBLING! tracks finding the crates, not feeding mystery boxes. Search the main floor, catwalks, delivery pipes, dark rooms after you restore lights, and upstairs spaces. Until that achievement pops, do not throw unidentified crates into the pit. Community reports of a stuck 9/10 count almost always mean a missed pipe, dark room, or upper walkway.
Surveillance is its own mini-quest. A figure can appear behind the observation window. Looking at that watcher, or deliberately triggering I SEE YOU, is tied to the hidden BAD? achievement. Disable cameras or the height lock and step into a formerly watched zone for INVISIBLE?.
The upstairs route is the largest scripted quest in the building:
- Reach the catwalks with held-object flight or improvised climbing.
- Find three fuses and seat all of them in the fuse box for UP?. Climbing alone does not count.
- Use the 0/200 kg platform. The target is 200 kilograms of mass, not 200 items. Crates, bumpers, remotes, or a panel box packed with heavy objects all work. Hitting the weight unlocks HEAVY? and opens a new grate, door, or chute (OPEN?).
- Feed the numbered percentage pipe with later-phase or assembled products. Raw ducks leaving it at 0% is expected. The correct input is LOOP?.
- Finish the whole upstairs chain, including skipped dark rooms or machines, for SECRET?.
Never feed puzzle pieces such as fuses into The Maw on purpose. If a useful tool falls in, Unstuck if needed and buy a replacement when the terminal allows it.
Achievements, 100% order, and both endings
All 23 achievements can be finished on one file. Buy new terminal items as soon as they appear. WEIRD! is simply purchasing the Anomaly when it unlocks. CONSUMERISM! requires every available purchase, not just seeing the list. RICH! is exactly one trillion dollars; late products plus large combos are what get you there.
| Achievement | Practical trigger |
|---|---|
| QWACK! | First duck into The Maw |
| KACHING! | Buy the Cash Register |
| MORE! / EXTRA! / MEGA! | x100, x200, then x300 combo |
| MESS! / LAG! | 500, then 1,000 loose products |
| STUFFED! | 15,000 products fed lifetime |
| FAST! | Sustain 400 products per minute |
| RICH! | $1,000,000,000,000 |
| FIESTA! / WEIRD! | Unlock Piñata, then Anomaly |
| GAMBLING! | Find every Gambling Crate |
| CONSUMERISM! | Purchase every terminal item |
| UP? | Install all three fuses |
A clean 100% order used by published guides is: first duck and register, Automater-plus-fan for x100 and x200, pause for the mess achievements, then explore cameras, the watcher, fuses, crates, and the scale. Keep buying. Unlock Piñata and Anomaly. Hit x300 and a clog-free 400-per-minute line. Idle to 15,000 feeds. Push late combos to one trillion. Buy the last terminal stock. Close the upstairs chain.
END? is the first credits or statistics beat after you keep feeding The Maw. END! is the second, final ending. Stay after the first sequence and finish remaining phases, assembly recipes, the upstairs pipe, and leftover purchases.
When a Project P.I.T.T. quest stalls
If combos die early, look for leaks, a fan aimed at a wall, or your intern blocking the shaft. If UP? does not unlock after you reach the catwalk, the fuses are still missing. If the pipe stays at 0% after 200 kg, you are still feeding starter ducks. If I SEE YOU fires on every climb, break cameras or kill the pillar lights. If FAST! is impossible because the frame rate collapses, finish LAG!, clear loose goods, and drop visual extras. Those last graphics notes are community reports, not official patch notes.
Steam user reviews at launch sat in Mostly Positive territory, which matches a game that is simple to start and mean about clogs, cameras, and phase wrecks. Treat the intern contract as a factory puzzle first and a horror gag second, and the long quests resolve without a second playthrough.
FAQ
Is the Project P.I.T.T. quest a separate mission list? No. The “quest” is the intern loop: feed The Maw, grow combos, buy machines, then solve crates, cameras, and the upstairs fuse-and-scale chain. Achievements track that work.
Can you 100% Project PITT in one save? Yes. All 23 Steam achievements, including both END? and END!, are designed for a single file if you hunt Gambling Crates before dumping unknown boxes.
What should I unlock first? Throw upgrade, then broom or fan, then Cash Register, then Automater and sticky tools. Explore crates and cameras before the factory gets too loud to search.
