Project P.I.T.T. UV Lamp: How to Get It, Find Clues, and Unlock the Secret Ending

Find the Project P.I.T.T. UV Lamp after mining, scan hidden digits, craft an Access Card, and use code 2640 for the Secret Ending.

Why the Project P.I.T.T. UV Lamp matters

The Project P.I.T.T. UV Lamp is a late hidden-route tool in Project P.I.T.T. (also written Project PITT), not a factory upgrade you buy from the terminal. Once you have it, walls and symbols you already walked past start showing information. That scan-and-return loop is what unlocks the Access Card, the elevator override, and the Secret Ending.

Project P.I.T.T. is a first-person incremental physics sandbox from Froke / Fr0ke, published by Pretty Soon. You play an intern who feeds products into The Maw, builds automation, and slowly opens more of a brutalist facility. The lamp sits at the end of that upstairs secret chain. It is not a Roblox item, not a mobile unlock, and not related to Fallout’s The Pitt. The full game launched on Steam on 19 August 2026 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. You can try the official demo on Steam or itch.io; the UV sequence described here belongs to the hidden ending path in the full game.

If you are still stuck on the 200 kg platform or the 0% gate, stop reading for a moment and finish that puzzle first. The lamp never appears until that gate is open.

Prerequisites: when the UV Lamp route actually starts

The lamp is a reward, not a starting tool. Community reports agree that players waste the most time by hunting UV marks before the hidden gate opens, or by treating the clone room like another movement puzzle.

RequirementWhat “done” looks likeIf you skip it
Three upstairs fusesFuse box filled; UP? progress completeNo reliable upstairs route
200 kg scalePlatform reads 200 kg of mass, not 200 objectsGate / grate stays shut
0% device to 100%Hidden gate opensNo clone room, no mining, no lamp
Later-phase productsShop has advanced / assembled goodsPercentage pipe stays at 0%
Pickaxe from miningStill in inventory after the last ore layerAccess Card interaction fails

Mass is the key on the upstairs scale. Gambling Crates, remotes, bumpers, or a panel crate packed with heavy objects all work. Raw rubber ducks are the wrong input for the numbered pipe. Once the gate is open, stay on the hidden route. Going back downstairs to rebuild fans will not spawn the lamp.

How to get the Project P.I.T.T. UV Lamp

1. Clear the clone room as an idle loop

The first large room after the gate looks like a maze. It is not. Clones run a cycle, finished cycles create Energy, and Energy buys Speed, Production, and more Clones. Watch the progress counter, not your Energy pile. The stop condition is 200, not a huge bank.

Community reports from early Secret Ending runs describe the counter climbing through the 110s, 140s, 160s, then stalling near 196 / 200 with dozens of clones and a loop already under 20 seconds. At that point, extra Speed upgrades matter less than whatever purchase still moves progress. Treat it like a tiny incremental game: keep the loop running, buy the upgrade that finishes 200 fastest, then leave.

2. Mine four product layers, then stop

When the clone minigame ends, pick up the pickaxe and start mining. The room is finite. There are four quotas, and they follow the same product order as the main factory.

LayerThemeWhat to doCommon mistake
1DuckFill the first quota, then dropLeaving after layer one
2Cash RegisterDig into the next product bandDigging a pit you cannot climb
3PiñataRepeat the quota, keep a rampAssuming the room is endless
4AnomalyFinish the last quotaMining after the lamp appears

Leave a staircase or ledges as you go. The lamp drops when the Anomaly layer is finished. That is the signal to turn around. Do not keep digging, and do not look for another shop item in that room.

How the UV Lamp is used

Turn the lamp on and walk the hidden route backward. The tool does not add a new factory machine. It reveals marks on surfaces you already saw: the earlier upper path, walls around the old 200 kg area, the locked door and keypad, and any panel that looked “almost like a clue” before you had light.

The four digits are 0, 4, 6, and 2

Community reports say most players find 0, 4, and 6 first, then waste time testing three-digit codes. The last mark is 2. Write the digits down as you find them. The set is 0 / 4 / 6 / 2. The keypad order is not the order you discovered them.

Stop searching for a fifth number once those four are logged.

The Access Card is a separate requirement

Digits alone do not open the elevator. Keep the lamp on and look for a red pickaxe symbol. That mark means the mining tool is still part of the puzzle. Interact with the marked spot while carrying the pickaxe to create the Access Card.

Do not throw the pickaxe into The Maw after mining. The hidden route reuses it. A practical order that matches community reports:

  1. Finish all four mining layers.
  2. Take the UV Lamp and leave the mine.
  3. Collect the four UV digits.
  4. Find the pickaxe mark and craft the Access Card.
  5. Return to the elevator keypad.

If the pad still rejects input, check the card first. Guessing more permutations will not replace a missing Access Card.

The working elevator code is 2640

With the card ready, enter 2640. The confirmation you want is Access Granted plus Elevator Override Accepted on the same screen. After that, stop scanning walls. Do not restart clones or remine layers. Follow the new elevator path until the Secret Ending screen appears.

If 2640 is rejected, the usual cause is a missing Access Card or a skipped UV pickaxe interaction, not a wrong digit set.

Secret Ending vs the main factory ending

Project P.I.T.T. tracks the Secret Ending and the Main Ending separately. Completing the lamp route does not automatically explain or replace the main credits path, and an on-screen Secret Ending is not the same thing as every Steam badge flipping at once.

Community reports mention first full saves taking roughly 13–14 hours. That number includes factory rebuilds, wrong upstairs theories, incomplete codes, and not knowing the mine had four layers. The lamp sequence itself is much shorter once you know the order: open gate → clones to 200 → four layers → UV Lamp → digits 0/4/6/2 → Access Card → 2640 → ending path.

If the ending text appears but a badge such as END? still looks wrong, treat the route as finished and debug achievements separately. Replaying the entire UV chain rarely fixes a stuck notification.

Practical tips so you do not soft-lock the item

  • Do not discard the pickaxe. Mining ends; the UV pickaxe mark does not.
  • Do not hunt UV marks with the gate closed. There is nothing useful to reveal yet.
  • Do not optimize Energy for its own sake. Progress 200 is the clone-room win.
  • Do not feed puzzle tools into The Maw. Buy replacements from the terminal if the game allows it, and use Unstuck from the pause menu if you clip out of bounds.
  • Do not confuse this with trainers or money hacks. “Cheats” here means in-game secrets: the lamp, the card, and the override code.

The rest of Project PITT’s 23 Steam achievements can still be finished on the same save. Long factory goals (15,000 products fed, x300 combo, one trillion dollars, every terminal purchase) are separate from the lamp. You do not need more Anomalies or a rebuilt fan line after the override accepts 2640.

Quick recap of the UV Lamp path

Stay on the hidden route after the 0% gate opens. Solve the clone idle loop to 200, mine Duck → Cash Register → Piñata → Anomaly, and pick up the Project P.I.T.T. UV Lamp. Scan old upstairs surfaces for 0, 4, 6, and 2, craft the Access Card at the red pickaxe mark, and enter 2640. Then walk the elevator path until the Secret Ending displays. That is the whole item: a flashlight that turns a finished mine into the last password of the facility.

FAQ

Where do I get the Project P.I.T.T. UV Lamp?
After the hidden 0% gate opens, finish the clone room to 200 progress and complete all four mining layers (Duck, Cash Register, Piñata, Anomaly). The lamp is the mining reward. It does not appear in the early shop.

What is the elevator code after I have the UV Lamp?
Collect digits 0, 4, 6, and 2 under UV light, craft the Access Card at the red pickaxe symbol, then enter 2640. Community reports say the code fails if the card is missing, even when the digits are correct.

Is the UV Lamp required for the main ending?
No. The lamp belongs to the Secret Ending route. The game tracks that path separately from the main factory ending and from individual Steam badges.
